Our Experience

BANC3 has a 38,000 sq. ft. Top Secret facility in Princeton, NJ, near New Jersey's Route 1 High Tech Corridor, with sophisticated laboratories where it conducts applied research and development projects to include systems engineering, systems integration, software, and data analysis efforts. It has a wide variety of tools to support AR/MR, space systems, and RF research. It has a state-of-the-art lab with the latest oscilloscopes, RF test equipment, microscopes, and micro-electronics rework stations, including artificial intelligence and machine learning Lambda computers. Our lab also includes a specialized ground truth system for optimizing and evaluating AR/MR positioning systems and algorithms and separate ESD safe work areas dedicated to AR/MR headset design, development, and assembly. BANC3 has advanced optical testing labs for testing the quality and specifications of optical components. The lab is equipped with a spectroradiometer, photometer, microscopes, ultra-high resolution cameras, and calibrated sources. BANC3 has a state-of-the-art integration lab to aid in the development of advanced high-resolution optical technologies, sensitive component integration, rapid prototyping, software development, and modeling & simulation execution. The lab computing infrastructure is built upon the Dell VRTX converged platform which maximizes flexibility in an incredibly dense footprint. Each 5U chassis supports up to 112 processing cores, 3TB of RAM, 60TB of SAN storage space, lateral l0Gbe network fabric switching, 5 half-height PCie slots, and 3 full-height PCie slots for flexible expansion, including high-end GPU support. VMWare vSphere virtualization is deployed on top of the converged platform for virtually limitless flexibility and configurability. All on-site storage is backed up nightly to off-site cloud storage for 10-day historical data protection and recovery. Additionally, the integration lab is equipped with BSD-sensitive furniture for handling sensitive components, 3D scanning and printing capabilities for rapid prototyping, and an interactive projector for enhanced collaboration.
